Seth and Aleah were born in July of 1999. Their entire first year is a blur in my memory. I did not get a lot of sleep. And being the slightly high strung person that I am, I spent a good deal of time freaking out. I worried about pretty much everything. I remember crying every Sunday night because Dalen was going back to work the next morning and I would have to fend for myself (mostly) for another whole week. Looking back, I really should have relaxed and enjoyed it more. They really were amazingly good babies. At least I have pictures from their first year to help me remember how darn cute they were (and still are).

This was usually what Seth looked like when he was crawling. Almost every day, he would go and pull out two tupperware bowls and crawl around the house, sliding the bowls under his hands. I don't know why he liked this, but my theory is that my floor was so dirty, because I rarely had time to clean it, that he got sick of dirt sticking to his hands and therefore looked for alternatives. Pretty innovative kid don't you think?

After Aleah learned to crawl, she carried her toys around with her in her mouth, just in case she needed them. I mean you never know when a plastic fish will come in handy.

Cruisin' along ...

First Christmas, 1999

After what seemed like an eternity, we finally arrived at Seth and Aleah's first birthday. In my mind everything seemed to get easier after they turned a year old. Since then, time has flown by and they are now nine years old. I will have to post more pictures later of those other eight years.
We love Seth and Aleah SO much and are very proud of them and grateful that they are part of our family!

OK, these twins are the cutest! Aleah looks so much like Ana in these pictures, and Seth from DAY 1 looks exactly like Seth! You can tell from the first picture that oh, THAT is Seth. So funny!
