If you have seen Josh at all in the last few months (other than at church), chances are good that you have seen him decked out in his latest attire. Thanks to my friend Natalie S., who generously gave Josh this awesome and versatile cape and laser beam headgear, Josh is now a true superhero. Josh literally wears these EVERYWHERE. And he is no ordinary superhero. After visiting the World Aquarium in Dallas where he became enamored with penguins, he alternates between being Super Penguin and Bat Penguin. After all, the cape is reversible.
If you know Josh, you know that he likes to talk and is in no way shy. It is always a little frightening because you never know what is going to come flying out of that kid's mouth. Well, the other day, one of the parents from Seth's soccer team came over and told us how cute she thought Josh was. Josh usually attends Seth’s and Aleah's soccer games, wearing his cape of course, and he goes up and down the line of spectators talking away. According to this soccer mom, a few weeks ago Josh walked up to her teenage daughter and blurted out, "Hi! I'm Buddy the Super Penguin!" I guess this made quite an impression on her because now she goes around saying, "Hi! I'm Buddy the Super Penguin!" all the time. She even wrote it in large letters on their family’s whiteboard. I guess Buddy the Super Penguin has a growing fan club! And if you'd like to join, let us know.
So if you see something cute and caped flying by at the grocery store or at some restaurant in Austin, chances are good that it is neither a bird nor a plane. It is Buddy the Super Penguin coming to rescue you! We sure love you Josh!

I love all the blogging you're doing!
OK, all I can say is WHAT IN THE WORLD ARE YOU GOING TO DO WHEN THAT KID GROWS UP? Perhaps he'll find more grown up adorable things to keep you entertained, eh? Seriously, though, what kind of a world would this be without Josh??
I'm totally in the Buddy the Super Penguin club. Where do I sign?
Hey! Letha just forwarded me your blog! So cute! I can hardly believe how fast your kids are growing! I remember when Korby and I came out to visit Austin~ Seth and Aleah were still in diapers running around! But then Shayden is already 7~ Where does the time go?!
I love the super hero lasers! My kids are all vampires for Halloween and I have a feeling that they are going to be wearing their capes well past Christmas!
