Blogging in Real Time

So, this is my first blog in real time! I'm sure this is reason for celebration . . . involving ice cream and chocolate of some sort.

This week Grandpa and Grandma Turner came to visit. They arrived last Friday and were able to go to both Seth's and Aleah's soccer games on Saturday. No pictures though. What was I thinking? I suppose to be a real blogger you should never leave the house without the camera, but I'm new to this. Anyway, Seth and Aleah were really happy that Grandpa and Grandma got to see them both score goals. And that night we went to County Line BBQ. Yum! This picture is obviously before the baby back ribs came out. We are all still looking mighty clean. But afterwards - not so much.

Grandpa and Grandma brought a giant "Seek and Find" book for the kids and Aleah would not put it down for the entire week. Seth helped out with it too. I guess persistence pays off because they finished the last page of it the night before Grandpa and Grandma went home. It was really nice that the kids got to spend a bunch of time with the their grandparents since they don't see them very often.

Anna was more interested in her own version of "Seek and Find".

And as an added bonus, Grandpa and Grandma brought us an early Christmas present of half a beef along with some pork and a bunch of Alaskan salmon my dad caught when he was up there. So if you're feeling hungry, come on over. Now our freezer is nearly full, and it was practically empty when they arrived. So, thanks Mom and Dad! We truly appreciate it. And thanks for coming!
