Catching Up

I know it's been a while, so here is the Reader's Digest version of the last few months.

Halloween
We attended the annual cul-de-sac pumpkin carving party.

Our friends, the Riggs, invited us to their Halloween bash. Trish really is lovely. Really!
Seth's friends had fun making each other into Zombies.
They did a rather disgusting job, which made them quite happy as you can see.
Groovy, yes?
Josh won "scariest costume" at the Ward Trunk or Treat.
If you give a princess a cupcake, she'll give you miles of smiles to go with it.

Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving was lots of fun at Anna's preschool and Josh's first grade classes.

Five
Hard to believe, but Anna is now five!
She was very excited about the beauty set Grandma and Grandpa gave her.
Anna needed a little help from Grandpa to blow out all those candles.

Christmas
The missionaries joined us for Christmas Eve. They helped us decorate our mounds and mounds of Christmas cookies.
Christmas morning.
Josh was VERY happy that he got exactly what he had asked Santa for. That Santa is pretty amazing if you ask me!
Next year I will remember to just give Anna bubble wrap for Christmas. She had a blast with it.

Music
She's like the cat whisperer.

Seth was asked to participated in a saxophone quintet for the Christmas concert at school. He is the one on the far left playing the gigantic baritone. They played Carol of the Bells and it sounded awesome! Seth has gotten really good on the saxophone. He has been playing both the alto and baritone saxes this year. I looked back and noticed that I forgot to mention that Seth won "Best of Class" for his solo at his school's Solo and Ensemble Contest last spring. He's the man!

Aleah participated in the Solo and Ensemble Contest for the entire school district last month. She won "Best of Class" for her level on the cello. The following week she was invited back so that her performance could be filmed and shown on the district's TV station. It was pretty exciting! They also made a big poster at school featuring Aleah in this photo playing the cello. Way to go Aleah!
