The Fredrickson Factor: Eleven

Seth and Aleah are now ELEVEN!

We had a small celebration at home, which included a fairly pathetic attempt on my part to make a cute cake. The cake fell over several times during the frosting phase. I finally gave up, piled it all in a heap, and put some candles on top. Here are Seth and Aleah blowing out said candles. No, I will not show you the picture of the actual cake. And I really don't want to talk about it either. Thankfully it tasted good, even if it did look like it had been thrown across the room. Seth and Aleah thought it was hilarious. They are such good sports!

It has been so much fun watching Seth and Aleah learn and grow and become such wonderful people. How lucky we are to be a part of their lives!

Now that my babies are no longer babies, I thought I'd post a few of my favorite pictures.

This was a few hours after Seth and Aleah were born. (1999) If you're thinking I looked like death warmed over, you'd be about right.

I asked Aleah one day (not all that long ago) who her best friend was, and she told me "probably Seth". And even though they have been known to fight (shocking, I know), they really are the best of friends. I am so glad they have each other. (age 3)
