Christmas 2009

We had such a nice Christmas. It was easy and low stress. I LOVE that! Even the shopping didn't seem all that stressful. I was so relaxed, I didn't even bother to take many pictures. But I did get a few.

Here are the kids on Christmas Eve in their new PJ's. It has been a surprisingly cold winter this year, so we actually lit a fire in the fireplace. I'm not even sure if Josh and Anna knew what that gaping hole in the wall was for! I think that was maybe the third time we have lit a fire since we have lived here.

Note 1 - The scab on Anna's chin. That is because she tried to do a flip out of the shopping cart at Target and scraped her face along the side of the cart. Luckily she was able to hang on to the cart and didn't land on her head. It was not one of my better parenting moments since I was letting her stand up in the back of the cart.

Note 2 - Josh's cute dinosaur PJ's that he now refuses to wear because Jedi's do NOT wear dinosaur pajamas! They also do not wear red shirts or green shirts or blue jeans or tennis shoes or shirts with basketballs on them .... and the list keeps growing. They do wear orange shirts/flight suits and tan pants and bathrobes with teddy bears on them (only because it is brown). They also wear cool Jedi boots EVERYWHERE with their pants tucked into them. It is very cute/annoying! May the force be with you!

Note 3 - How did Seth and Aleah get to be so big??? Time is flying by way too fast!

There were lots of goodies and gifts. Some were WAY too generous! Thanks to all! One of the most notable gifts that the kids received was this:

It says "Coupon good for ONE kitten". So the day after Christmas, we headed over to the shelter and this is what we brought home.

I guess it was double coupon day at the shelter. I am such a sucker! But aren't they cute? We named them Josie and Ginger. They are about 5 months old and have so far been great kitties.

So there's the wrap up. Merry Christmas and may 2010 be a very happy new year!

Oh, you do have beautiful kids! And my question is the same as yours - how did Seth and Aleah get so big? The time is flying.

Sounds like the perfect Christmas to me.

Ok will someone hook Aleah up to a feeding tube!? Tiny thing in her snuggy jammies. :) Jan is right, though, your kids are beautiful (oh that lovely brown skin!)

Christmas was low key for us too, and I love it that way.

Enjoy the cute kitties, I especially like the name Josie. :)
